Sesshoumaru, the lord of the West
Name: Sesshoumaru, Sesshomaru, Sessho-Maru (there are so many ways to spell it!)Name meaning: Killing perfection is one among the various meanings for his name. Takahashi-sama translates it to Destruction Man, though.
Age: I’ve read somewhere that he’s 93, but no one knows for sure.
Hair color: Silver.
Eye color: Golden.
Gender: Male.
Race: Taiyoukai.
Status: Prince of the Western Lands.
Weapon: A whicked whip, dokkasou (poison claw), Tenseiga, Toukijin and, of course, himself!
Relations: Inuyasha’s older brother.
Enemies: Naraku (and maybe Inuyasha)
Usual Outfit: Sesshoumaru wears some kind of long sleeved shirt, probably a haori, and pretty weird, baggy pants, a black, spiked armor over his chest and that furry…er…thing over his shoulders.

Sesshoumaru is Inuyasha’s older brother but, unlike the hanyou, he is a full-fledged youkai, for he was born from a youkai mother and father (Inuyasha’s mother was human, that’s why he’s just a hanyou). He takes over the Western Lands after his father, and yet he sees his half brother as a rival, for he got the only thing Sesshoumaru really wanted: the Tetsusaiga. On their first real assault, Sesshoumaru transforms to his true self (a huuuuge, dog-like youkai) just to show Inuyasha how powerfull he was. Ironically, Inuyasha uses the Tetsusaiga to chop off his left arm…er..I mean…paw… After that, Sesshoumaru wanders around, getting random youkai’s arms and attaching them to himself… *pictures Sesshie opening up his closet full of youkai arms ands asking himself:”Hmm…Which arm should I wear today?”*
Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha’s father gave his sons two swords: the older one got the Tenseiga, which is able to revive 100 lives on one hit, while the younger one got Tetsusaiga, which is able to kill 100 lives. It’s my opinion that he wanted both of his sons to learn a lesson: Inuyasha, who hated the human blood running through his veins, would only be able to use his sword to protect them, meaning he’d have to start liking them, while Sesshoumaru, who thinks every other living creature (especially humans) is inferior to him, would have to learn that other people but himself also deserve to live, and maybe he could learn to love someone else other than himself.
This powerful taiyoukai also hates Naraku (just like pretty much everyone else in the story^^;;;) because the shape-shifter once tricked him into using a human arm containing a Shikon shard in it so that he could touch the Tetsusaiga, but that arm actually almost consumed him! From then on, Sesshoumaru has been trying to kill Naraku, because no one messes with Sesshie and gets away with it! Lol!
Sesshoumaru is arrogant, really cold, supposedly heartless and extremely powerful. However, he does have feelings. Later on, he saves the life of a human girl named Rin, who had been taking care of him since he got really hurt in a battle against his brother, and since then, he actually shows some kind of fatherly affection for her. He’s also gonna help Inuyasha with his newly-found full youkai powers and all… Guess Sesshie isn’t really all that emotionless after all…
